Floating
Greetings!
Haven't been blogging fer a long time and my blog is currently defunct cause I am simply toooooooo darnnnnnn lazzzzzzzyyyyyyy to blog.
Have like thousands upon thousands of photos since last autumn, ok, in Singapore's context it's Oct. Japan trip alone has like 707.
And I just reformatted my laptop, which meant that all the photos are in the hard disk, and it'd be a chore to take it out and stick its USB into the tight hole of my laptop's.
O... EXCUSES..
So should I proclaim my blog dead now or wot..
Or should I continue to blog.
Just to side track, I realised I talk like a bimbo when I am sleepy.
Things I said to Alvin:
Can you don't be so slow like cake or not!
Popcorns are such beautiful things. (in a dreamy tune)
Ok, actually I am building up on a new blog site. Hurhurhur.
Right,... it's more like Alvin.

Happy 2008!
Blessed New Year Everyone!
Japan hols was a blast.
The architecture overwhelmed me.
Prada by Herzog de Muron, Dior by Sejima, TODS by Ito, MVRDV, Kenzo, Ando, etc.
Especially Yokohama Ferry Terminal by F.O.A., I am totally blown over.
And with Alvin DarLIN who waited on me like a princess, [s0 says Co Seng, (ok and me)] hurhur, this holiday's just purrrrrrrrfect.
See you all in Singapore soon!
MUAH...

Arghhh
Weird things keep happening.
There was a night last week when I opened my window to talk to Co Seng and Jin Tae. (They just returned from dinner at dormitory)
.
.
.
After they left, I tried to close the insect screen, and the entire metal rectangular nongsense came off, threatening to fall 2 stories down. (Though it's a relative short height and the bottom's grass patch, I don't want to be known as a killer 'litter')
'Miao! Miao! Help!'
She saw what happened and both of us started laughing uncontrollably.
I was in the most awkward position holding onto the screen cause the radiator was in front of me. Had to lurch forward to hold it.
Then, that's when our 'fridge' was in a precarious situation too.
The 2 bags of tangerines almost fell off the ledge!
God.
Miao had to remove the fruits from under my arms.
All this while, I was still clutching onto the screen fer its dear life till my hands turned red as a result of the bitter strong winds.
And as we kept laughing at how spastic this whole situation was, visible vapour escaped from our mouths.
Tried as we might to fit the screen back, we failed.
Alas, Miao had to pass me her gloves to wear while she called the security guard fer help.
Amazingly, the security guard was quite adept to fixing the dumb screen.
Highly suspect I didn't create history, history merely repeated. Hurhurhur.
In return, we expressed our gratitude by giving him 6 tangerines.
-The end-
What a corker.
Such a shame I didn't have pictures to relate how comical the entire scene was, but taking pictures was really the last thing in my mind back then.
2 more days to complete my work!
4 more days to submission~
FIGHTING!~ (Add Oil, the Korean way)

Brrroooooooom
Sms-ed my studio leader last night
'Hi, can you help me put the broom back. It's in studio. Thanks!' (after Co Seng helped me sweep, I fergot to put it back before I leave)
H replied 'Emily~ ok!^^'
But the broom's still at my studio today.
So I held onto the broom and said,
' Kyeong Duk! You didn't help me keep the broom!'
'O, sorry sorry, I fergot.'
Then he did the most peculiar thing that left me stupefied fer awhile
He dived straight to the bin and started rummaging through it.
'Huh! What are you doing!'
'I understand from naver (korean online dictionary) that your private broom in trash, must take out and put back, I help you now'
After that I almost died of laughter with the broom still in my hand
'I am talking about this broom! I don't have a private broom!'

Diva sweeps the floor!!
OMG!!!
Co seng just appeared out of the blue and cleared up my whole work space at studio.
He said he can't stand my messiness. Hahahahaha
Have like 4 thick books, 9 models, numerous sheets of butter paper, pens, pins, blades (he exclaimed ' so hazardous!', but I know where they are so it's ok) snack and an empty box scattered around my 3 tables.
Ahem. Cleared now.
Now I even have a snack box and 50% MORE SPACE to place my models and books.
THANK YOU!!
He came back with a broom to clear my area of model debris too.
*Speechless*
Hope I can maintain this standard fer at least a week!

The Geniuses' Lodging
Before I get past photos from the sooo many people, I'd just blog about my dorm first.
Autumn had already passed and hailstones are raining hard down now.

Naturally, we have things like a free refrigerator located at the window ledge!
Pretty cool huh.
That's the only plus of winter.
Our window ledge's stuffed with many perishables that we previously couldn't buy and store.
Items such as Seoul CHOCOLATE MILK!
It has since become an addiction.
Without a packet a day, I suffer from withdrawal symptoms.

Then, Miao and I bought 2kg worth of Jeju Tangerines.
They are so darn sweet!
So cold and refreshing.
Mmmmm...
I still miss Jeju's Hallabong.
The one we ate as complimentary dessert fer our SGD80+meal there.
They sell fer SGD50 fer 10 Hallabongs.
And you live live have to buy A SET. Hence, argh.

Right, and this is the current state of my room now.
Hurricane Emily just swept through.
Hurhur.

There isn't a need to guess which is my table and which is Miao's.
Don't frown.
My table is merely a dumping ground, not fer work.
But I have to say I am much cleaner!
Clean up with wet wipes every Friday night or Saturday noon.

We've also found the radiator of great use.
Not only to keep ourselves warm, but to constantly keep the popcorn crisp (miao bought a couple of days ago!) and also to melt the reusable heat pack.
There's also a bowl of water on top of it now to humidify the room.
We're simply geniuses.
Disclaimer: Picture taken on a Monday night after design, hence this state

To the Clinic
I'm supposed to have Korean class today but I skipped it.
All because of cosmetic reason.
Swelling in the eyelids to be specific.
Had a sore throat, which the doc later told me was tonsillitis and I am allergic to the medicine though I've already listed the 2 types of antibiotics I've to refrain from..
This means.. there are 3 out of 6 main antibiotics which I can't take now.
Yikes.
Anyway, the visit to a Korean clinic's an eye opener.
My Design tutor insisted I should go to see the doc cause he saw how terrible I looked.
(Not because of the sore throat but more on sleeping only fer 2 hours to rush fer design!)
Out of 8 students in my studio, only 2 are in pink!
Bo Young and Sujin blamed the tutor fer being so hard on us.
Hahaha!
Actually fer my case, I think I had too much of a spicy soup on Friday night. Hurhur.
Well, back to the clinic, which the Koreans call HOSPITAL.
'Emily, I think you should go to the hospital'
I was like no way! Before I found out what they meant was a clinic.
The clinic's interior was well designed and the cashiers/nurses have really pretty working uniform!
My name was called and they led me to a huge reclined chair like those in the dentist's.
On the left of me was a huge metal table with lots of surgical tools (scalpel, tweezers, forceps, etc)
Then, there are 3 tvs in front of me and a Black Samsung LCD TV (same one in my parents 'room) at the back.

The doctor was dressed in the same way I used to play masak masak when I was a child, with all the essential equipments including the head gear reflective thing.
In Singapore, the doc only has a stethoscope.
He then probed an otoscope into my ears and the images appeared on all 4 tvs!
First time looking into my ears.
Haha, interesting.
Then, my NOSE.
My nasal passages looked awful on screen.
Left had a lil' bleeding. Oops. From the cold I had 3 weeks ago.
Right's ok.
And lastly, my throat.
'You have tonsillitis'
They ushered me to another partition where I held onto a sprayer(?) and inhaled some aromatic gas through my mouth fer a min fer initial treatment.
What a thorough check.
That's all fer sgd 17+ fer a foreigner.
Bo Young and Su Jin only paid 1/4 of mine!
Medicine's to be collected at the pharmacist and it costs SGD8.
Went to their rented apartment fer dinner.
They cooked zha chiang sphagetti!
I bought a can of tuna as a side dish.

Time to take medicine!
This is the medicine package.
Spot my name in Korean, 에 밀 리.

The colourful medicine we've got.
It's so weird, 3 of us had to take medicine.
Haha!
1st 2 rows are Bo Young's, 3rd's Su Jin's with the eye drop and last's mine.
One packet after a meal, which I am so not going to take anymore.

Us!
Watched Die Another Day while they were taking a nap before they go fer their exercise in school.
I think Michelle Yeoh's stiff.
Alright, off to nap now.
Anyong!

Seoul International Fireworks Fest!
First of all, HAPPY PEPPERO DAY!
(11.11)
Received lots of Pockys!
Got a huuuuuge one from partner Jisu cause I gave him one too..
He gave me a much thicker one though.
Haha!
_________________________________________________
Seoul's Int. Fireworks Festival spanned across 2 Saturdays and we caught its opening on 13th Oct!

It's darn crowded.
The subway station was jammmmed pack with many station masters on standby.
There's the frequent blowing of whistle to stop people from pushing the front ones off the platform.
I've always seen it on TV, and now I experienced it first hand. Hahaha!

At Yeuiodo Park, the biggest island at Han River.
The number of people there was also amazing.
The entire park were filled with mostly picnickers out in the cold.
Some of the weird items we spotted: blankets, HUGE teddy bears, parkas (at autumn?) etc.

Well, we just sat on the grass and went to buy hot piping instant mee fer dinner.
I got the rest loads of chips, banana milk and coffee.

There were 3 rounds of fireworks!
If my memory didn't fail me..
It went like this: 7.30pm - 8pm, 8.15 - 8.45pm and 9pm - 9.30pm
This was the longest fireworks display I've ever watch and every round surpassed the previous.

Ooos and Ahhs whenever an unusually big or unique fireworks exploded into the night.

Love this fairylights-fireworks!
My other all-time favourite's the huge golden showers, like Disney's logo.. *dreamy*

And the last round ended with a biiiiiiiig bang!
Brilliant gold showers started to rain from beneath the bridge!
A spectacular sight to behold - The entire span glowed in the dark.
The reflection on the waters were nonetheless mesmerising too..

Last but not least, a picture perfect moment. Hahaha!
I got this by chance! =D
